The Write of My Life

My Dad was a man of few words. One of his sayings was: The world is in a state of chassis. Never was a saying more pertinent. This is a time of truth emerging from shadows. A new political or spiritual figure is falling from grace every day. And so it should be. What man thought it was perfectly all right to be in the company of a paedophile, or be in contact with him after his conviction? There is a natural abhorrence within decent people to the corruption of innocence. May the heads continue to roll as the dark network of slavery and exploitation is exposed as a playground of the super rich and super powerful. The old systems are collapsing, and not a moment too soon.

The question arises, What will take their place? The spiritual community believes that a new energy and a new consciousness is emerging. I choose to believe this too. Each of us can choose our thoughts, beliefs and our actions. They all matter. We have more power than we might think we have. We can choose to be kind to ourselves, each other, and all of nature, including the earth itself that sustains us. Given the catastrophic floods and extreme weather worsened by climate change, it would be a good and wise choice. We can choose to give our energy to things that are light and joyful. The world needs light and joy now like never before. It will help us get through these dark times.
