I turned a corner in the park and was stopped in my tracks by the beauty of a copper beech tree. The light filtered through the leaves and it made the space underneath magic. I said Wow! Then I came across another group of chestnut trees whose leaves were an intense green, set against another copper beech. Being a wordsmith, I said Wow! again. On such a low-light rainy day I didn’t expect to be presented with the healing gift of beauty in a park close to home. If we open our eyes, the natural world can fill us up, bring a smile on a dismal day and balm to the soul. Blessings.
